LOFT CONVERSIONS

Loft conversions are one of the easiest way in extending the habitable area at your house.

There are several types of loft conversions:

Dormer Loft Conversions - the most common type. The planning permission is not always necessary for the dormer loft conversions as they can be built under the permitted development rights. You are allowed to create additional 50 m3 volume if you live in a detached house or 40 m3 for the terraced house.

Dormer Loft Conversions could also be designed together with the roof extension over the back addition of the house - also known as L-shape dormers.

Mansard Loft Conversions -  this type of loft conversion would be proposed with 70 deg angle wall to the rear. There are double mansard loft conversions where the angled wall is proposed to the front elevation as well.

Dormer windows Loft Conversions - this is a conservation area type roof extension where the dormer windows would need to be in line with the windows on the level below and finished in lead.

Velux Loft Conversion - the most cost efficient conversion of your attic. The installation of the roof windows to the front or/and rear roof slopes would guarantee the sufficient amount of the daylight to the room.
